Meet Dr. Richard A. Rampi
DMDDr. Richard A. Rampi was born and raised in Orlando, Florida. Dr. Rampi has expressed how he enjoys the “people” aspect of dentistry. He sees dentistry as a unique profession in that a dentist can serve as a healer, artist, entrepreneur, and engineer all at the same time. Furthermore, as a member of the healing professions, a dentist serves as a surgeon, anesthesiologist, radiologist, and the provider of emergency services.
Dr. Rampi is extremely passionate about dentistry and loves to take continuing education (CE). He has completed CE in immediate implants and bone grafting, advanced bone grafting and implant site rehabilitation, full arch implant prosthetics and placement, esthetic and functional smile makeover, sleep apnea, 3-D printing and design, and more. He strongly believes continued education and learning is the key to providing the best care for patients. Currently, he is working on completing the Pankey Essentials courses; a distinguished dental community made up of professionals focused on excellence in dentistry.
Dr. Rampi especially enjoys working with his hands and helping improve not only the oral health, but also the overall health of the people he serves. He has enjoyed the diversity and challenges inherent to dentistry which has fostered his passion. His favorite aspect of dentistry is reconstruction; giving patients back their full function and esthetics. Being able to give a patient back the ability to eat anything they want is extremely gratifying and rewarding.
Dr. Rampi is passionate about the technology aspect of dentistry, and our office is pleased to offer the conveniences and predictability that advanced dental technology has to offer. Dr. Rampi integrates 3-D printing, intraoral scanning, and Cone-Beam technology (CBCT) to plan all his surgical procedures digitally which provides extremely reliable and precise outcomes. Venetian Pointe Dentistry also has an on-site lab, allowing for precise communication and oversight of the design of everything from a single crown to a full arch prosthetic.
In the past, Dr. Rampi attended Bishop Moore High School where he graduated in 2006. Upon graduating from Bishop Moore, Dr. Rampi then attended the University of Central Florida earning a bachelor’s degree in business in 2011 and a master’s degree (MBA) in 2012.
After having earned his MBA, Dr. Rampi joined the business workforce. His work in the business community included marketing, customer service, and inventory management. He received several accolades in business including best overall year-over-year (YOY) increases in sales for his business districts. He also developed and implemented successful marketing strategies.
By 2015, Dr. Rampi felt a calling to healthcare and was compelled to go back to school to study dentistry. Upon his return to UCF, he had the good fortune of meeting Dr. Kiara Garcia (Rampi) who would eventually become his wife. Dr. Rampi and Dr. Kiara Rampi have 2 sons together, Ray and Ryan. Dr. Rampi loves being a dad and treasures spending time with family.
Upon completion of the prerequisites needed to apply to dental school, Dr. Rampi was admitted into the prestigious University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry (UAB) in 2017. UAB has been ranked among the top dental schools in the U.S. and has been named one of the top 25 best dental schools worldwide. Dr. Rampi graduated from UAB School of Dentistry in 2021.
On a personal level, Dr. Rampi enjoys hiking, golf, water and winter sports, music, cooking, and all things fitness. Dr. Rampi is proud that you chose Venetian Pointe Dentistry and is committed to guiding you to your best oral health.
