MEET DR. RICHARD A. RAMPI
Richard A. Rampi, DMD, was born in Orlando, Florida. He graduated from Bishop Moore High School in 2006 where he played lacrosse and football and wrestled. After graduating from high school, "Dr. Rick" attended the University of Central Florida where he earned a bachelor's degree in business in 2011 followed by a Master of Business Administration in 2012.
Even though he was succeeding in the business community, Dr. Rick felt like he had missed his true calling by not pursuing a career in dentistry. For this reason, he attended the prestigious University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry (UAB) in 2017 which has been ranked among the top dental schools in the U.S. and ranked one of the top 25 best dental schools worldwide. Dr. Rick graduated from UAB in June of 2021.
While at UCF, Dr. Rick met Dr. Kiara Garcia (also practicing general dentistry after having graduated from UAB at the same time). The two of them are shown below with the nightlights in the valley of Birmingham glistening in the background. They are engaged to be married in the near future.
Dr. Rick has expressed how he enjoys the "people" aspect of dentistry. He sees dentistry as a unique profession in that a dentist can serve as a healer, artist, entrepreneur, and engineer all at the same time. He states how he especially enjoys working with his hands and helping improve not only the oral health but also the overall health of the people he serves. He enjoys the diversity and challenges inherent to dentistry which have fostered his passion. His innate ability to be a leader was demonstrated while attending dental school where he received awards in leadership.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Rick enjoys hiking, water sports, winter sports, music, cooking, and spending time with his fiancée and his family. He plays the piano, guitar, and drums; he has a love for the arts.
Since graduating from UAB, he has received the training needed to skillfully place dental implants as well as non-surgical/non-invasive facial injectables such as Botox and facial fillers. Consequently, these services are now being provided at Venetian Pointe Dentistry. He is enthusiastic to continue the hard work that has been put into creating the patient-centered practice that Venetian Pointe Dentistry has become.
