How Does Invisalign Work?
Instead of traditional physical impressions, digital scans or impressions are taken of your teeth using advanced 3D imaging technology. These digital impressions are used to create a virtual representation of your teeth and plan each step of your treatment.
Based on the treatment plan, a series of custom-made aligners are created specifically for your teeth. These aligners are made from clear, BPA-free plastic and are virtually invisible when worn.
You will receive a series of aligners that must be worn sequentially, typically for about two weeks each. The aligners are designed to gradually and gently move your teeth into the desired position. You will wear the aligners for most of the day, ideally around 20 to 22 hours per day, removing them only for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing.
As you progress through the series of aligners, your teeth will gradually shift into alignment. Typically, you will switch to the next set of aligners every few weeks, following the treatment plan outlined by our dentist. Throughout the treatment process, you will have regular check-up appointments with our dentist to monitor progress, make any necessary adjustments, and receive new sets of aligners.
